University of Utah
Craig obtained his law degree from the University of San Diego in 1986. He graduated cum laude and was a member of Law Review. Craig started his career at the law firm of Gray, Cary, Ames and Frye (now DLA Piper). He left the “big firm” to represent individuals, groups of people and small companies in disputes with large corporations and insurance companies. He is and has been a very successful trial lawyer and advocate for his clients ever since. Craig has tried cases against the biggest corporations and insurance companies in the world obtaining many verdicts and settlements totaling well over 500 million dollars. Craig has limited his practice to large and complex cases primarily against institutionalized defendants. He understands how large wealthy companies use their power and money to abuse the rights of individuals and prides himself and his firm in their ability to take on any defendant. For many years the firm has represented groups of people in Class Action cases for employment (overtime, wage and hour violations) and consumer issues (deceptive advertising, selling tainted products, false charges, etc.). He has been appointed as lead or co-lead counsel in successful cases against many of the largest corporations in the world including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Lowes, Kmart, Mazda, Ford, ADP, Bank of America, Wellpoint, AIG, Blue Shield, Hallmark, and more. Craig has been on the Board of Governors of the California Trial Lawyers Association, the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association, was twice given an Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award by the SDTLA. He was also named as the Outstanding Alumni of his class by his fellow USD Law School graduates.
